10 MILLION PETS GO MISSING A YEAR IN THE USA. 2 MILLION ARE STOLEN.

LOST PETS AND PREVENTION:

Call the Police and have them share information with their staff and call the local animal control department. Most police have surveillance.

Leave their food outside and other things. Rotate daily.

Make a flier up with you pet’s picture, name and contact information. Offer an award.

Contact the post man or lady just by putting a flier in your mailbox include an award. Many people will not even take the money.

Do not call their names even owners. The pet is in survivor mode which changes the way they think. I would call their name if they are bold and a fighter. You can also sit down and go on to youtube for one hour of crackling sound like if you were to open a bag of potato chips. Have food the pet loves that has a big odor like tuna fish or liver. Sit down on a blanket. Standing may scare the pet including owners.

Contact the neighborhood and businesses to see if their surveillance tapes recorded any action.

Contact every local shelter and Vet to see if they showed up there and to keep an eye out. Www.petfinder.com will list them within a zip code. Also, are also rescues.

Early in the morning when everything is quiet walk in the areas and search.

There are several local Facebook Groups to join to post your missing pet.

There are also Facebook Groups listed for your town…join them and post…even if its not a normal topic… many people will help as it is a personal tragedy.

Pray to Saint Anthony and Saint Jude. If you are not a believer now is the time to test it.
